This vintage was distilled in the spring of 2001 and matured for 12 years and 1 month in new charred American white oak barrels (#4 char). The spirit reached a formidable 136.2 proof, a technical result of a heavy 55.3% evaporation loss that concentrated the liquid’s wood sugars and essential oils.
The technical profile is defined by its high-viscosity body and a dense structural framework. Bottled uncut and unfiltered, the spirit offers a raw representation of the barrel, showcasing concentrated notes of caramel corn, new leather, and plums, with a velvety palate of marshmallow and salted almonds that persists through a long, composed, and flavorfully sweet finish.
