The 2015 Realm Cellars "The Tempest" is a critically acclaimed, Merlot-dominant proprietary red blend from Napa Valley that is currently in its prime drinking window. Inspired by the great wines of Pomerol, this vintage is highly regarded for its lush fruit profile and velvety texture.

  • Composition: The 2015 vintage is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • Vineyard Sources: Grapes were sourced from premium sites including Beckstoffer Orchard, Dr. Crane, and Blair Vineyard in Calistoga.
  • ABV: The wine has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 14.6%.
  • Production: Realm Cellars produced approximately 2,000 cases of this vintage.
  • Jeb Dunnuck (99 Points): Described as a "knockout Merlot" with a huge nose of blueberries, currants, licorice, and chocolate. He notes it is gorgeously layered and seamless.
  • Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (95+ Points): Noted a "wonderfully plummy nose" with blueberry compote and sandalwood, describing the palate as rich, curvaceous, and full-bodied.
  • James Suckling (95-96 Points): Highlighted aromas of dark berries, spices, and hazelnuts, noting the wine is full-bodied and "dialed in" with a velvety texture.
