The 2015 Realm Cellars Farella Vineyard Red is a highly acclaimed 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Coombsville AVA in Napa Valley. Known for its bold structure and intense aromatics, this vintage received exceptional scores from major critics, including 98 points from The Wine Advocate.

Product Detail:

This wine is produced by winemaker Benoit Touquette from fruit grown in the "rockpile" block of the Farella Vineyard.

  • Aromatics: Reviewers note intense aromas of black fruit, spice cake, star anise, cloves, and graphite. James Suckling highlighted scents of lead pencil and blackberries.
  • Palate: It is described as dense, full-bodied, and "Pauillac-like," featuring notes of crème de cassis and crushed rocks.
  • Structure: Experts from The Wine Advocate describe the wine as taut and firmly structured with a long, mineral-laced finish.
  • Aging Potential: While some critics suggested it could be enjoyed starting in 2021, others recommend cellaring until 2030 or beyond for peak maturity.
