Rare Character Brook Hill Private Barrel 15 Year Old 'Space x Invader' Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750m

Rare Character Brook Hill Private Barrel 15 Year Old 'Space x Invader' Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a fifteen-year, barrel-proof single cask bottled by Rare Character Whiskey Co. in Lexington, Kentucky, and it exists as a strict one-of-one. One barrel was selected by one private group, that barrel was emptied exactly once, and the 'Space x Invader' designation will never appear on another bottling. Its proof and yield are printed on the label as a matter of course.

Consider the arithmetic governing a bottling like this. A barrel holds a finite volume of spirit, and fifteen years of Kentucky maturation means evaporation has taken its cut every summer since the fill date. What survives a decade and a half in oak is a fraction of the original contents, divided into a fixed number of 750ml bottles — a count stated on the label. No blending tank ever touched it, no second batch follows it, and no formula can recreate it. The mathematics only ever run downward.

The Brook Hill name compounds that scarcity. Rare Character, founded in 2021 by Pablo Moix and Peter Nevenglosky, revived the brand on March 14, 2024, restoring a bourbon mark established around the turn of the twentieth century by Joseph L. Friedman and John W. Keiler. The company describes Brook Hill as its vehicle for the best of the best barrels and reserves it for straight bourbon at cask strength, dressed in Prohibition-era-styled packaging. Far fewer casks qualify for the name than covet it.

Multiply the factors: an extra-aged fifteen-year cask, undisclosed Kentucky origins, Rare Character's most selective label, a single private selection committee. Each term narrows the pool, and together they reduce it to one barrel on earth. That is the collector's calculus behind 'Space x Invader' — not marketing arithmetic, but subtraction that ends at one. Every bottle drawn from it lowers the world's remaining count, permanently.
