This collaboration utilizes the distillery’s classic 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley mash bill. The liquid is matured in heavily charred barrels within heat-cycled warehouses before undergoing a proprietary finishing process: filtration through charcoal made from mesquite wood harvested at the historic King Ranch in Texas.
This technical step integrates a subtle, savory smoke into the traditional Old Forester profile, yielding notes of toasted pecan, dark chocolate, and sweet tobacco with a lingering, woody finish.
