George T. Stagg 2007 is a historic release from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection and holds the record for the highest proof in the brand's history at 144.8 proof. Distilled in the spring of 1992 at DSP-KY-113 using Mashbill #1, the spirit underwent 15 years and 6 months of maturation in new charred American white oak. This vintage represents an extreme case of barrel concentration due to high evaporation rates, resulting in an estimated 13,772 bottles released for the global market.
Because it was bottled uncut and unfiltered, the liquid retains its full structural integrity, showcasing a dense, high-viscosity body with concentrated notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and heavy leather.
