Fortaleza Blanco Tequila is an 80 Proof (40% ABV) additive-free spirit produced at Destilería La Fortaleza (NOM 1493) in Tequila, Jalisco. This expression represents a return to "old-world" craftsmanship, utilizing 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave from the Tequila Valley. The production process involves slow-cooking in stone ovens, traditional tahona-milling, and fermentation in open-air wooden vats.
Double-distilled in small copper pot stills, the resulting profile is defined by an intense core of roasted agave, bright citrus zest, and earthy mineral notes. The palate is high-viscosity and buttery, transitioning into a crisp finish with a signature snap of black pepper. Housed in a hand-blown glass bottle with a hand-painted agave piña stopper, this 750ml bottling is a global benchmark for technical transparency and artisanal purity.
