This 2021 release opens the line's ninth year and is the first Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bottling to carry Heaven Hill's refreshed, lighter label design - a labeling change distinct from the 2017 bottle redesign and a notable inflection point for collectors tracking packaging eras within the series. The batch is bottled uncut and non chill-filtered at 123.6 proof.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is Heaven Hill's flagship cask-strength bourbon - an uncut, non-chill-filtered small-batch release built on the standard Elijah Craig mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley. Then-Master Distiller Parker Beam launched the line in 2013 to bridge stocks of Elijah Craig 18 Year and 23 Year as they continued to age. The series is released three times per year - typically January, May, and September - with each release carrying its own unique proof drawn from a small selection of barrels.

Heaven Hill's published line profile across the series shows deep-amber color, a nose of caramel with toasted oak and notes of apple and orange, a palate of rich vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch with black pepper and cinnamon spice at the back, and a layered finish that fades slowly and lingers as it cools.
