This 2013 release is the inaugural Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bottling, launched through the Heaven Hill gift shop in Bardstown as a soft introduction to the new line under then-Master Distiller Parker Beam. The batch is bottled uncut and non chill-filtered at 134.2 proof.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is Heaven Hill's flagship cask-strength bourbon - an uncut, non-chill-filtered small-batch release built on the standard Elijah Craig mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley. Then-Master Distiller Parker Beam launched the line in 2013 to bridge stocks of Elijah Craig 18 Year and 23 Year as they continued to age. The series is released three times per year - typically January, May, and September - with each release carrying its own unique proof drawn from a small selection of barrels.

Heaven Hill's published line profile across the series shows deep-amber color, a nose of caramel with toasted oak and notes of apple and orange, a palate of rich vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch with black pepper and cinnamon spice at the back, and a layered finish that fades slowly and lingers as it cools.
