This limited bourbon features an 88% corn and 12% malted barley mash bill, matured in new charred American oak within the unique microclimate of the original prison dormitory. Because it is bottled at cask strength with no water added, the proof varies by batch, typically ranging from 96 to 106.
The aging process in the non-climate-controlled cell blocks results in a high degree of wood interaction and atmospheric pressure. The profile is characterized by a dense delivery of sweet corn, light citrus, and toasted oak that transitions into a long finish of creamy vanilla and baking spice.
