Released in 2021, this spirit is an uncut and unfiltered expression crafted from hand-selected barrels utilizing Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #1 (low-rye). The whiskey is non-age-stated (NAS), though technical estimates from Buffalo Trace suggest a maturation period of 6–8 years within warehouses over a century old.
Unlike the "Warehouse C" special edition, this barrel-proof batch is a blend of barrels from various historic ricks to achieve a technical profile defined by cooked berries, rich caramel, and toasty vanilla. The high-proof spirit carries a concentrated complexity with a long, satisfying finish of dried oak and black pepper.
