Cascahuin Swell de Spirits is a Blanco Tequila from Tequila Cascahuin in El Arenal, Jalisco, Mexico. This 2025 collaboration between Swell de Spirits and Los Convidados was bottled at 94 proof, additive-free, in a limited run of 5,000 bottles.
The Swell de Spirits x Los Convidados collaboration leans into the most artisanal end of Cascahuin's production capability: 100 percent Azul agaves grown more than five years, slow-cooked in an underground oven for seven days, 100 percent tahona stone-wheel extraction, open-air fermentation in wooden vats with the agave fibers still in the mosto, and double-distillation in a copper pot still. The 500ml format and 5,000-bottle production cap make this one of the smaller Cascahuin collaboration runs.
On the nose, it shows licorice, lemon candy, nougat, fresh herbs, and cinnamon brioche. The palate brings sweet spice, star anise, coconut, and white pepper across a rich, expressive body, and the finish carries a long, herbal, spice-driven close.
The seven-day underground oven cook and full-tahona extraction push this release toward a mezcal-adjacent texture while keeping clear Blue Weber agave character at the core. It drinks well neat or over a single large cube.
