Cascahuin 88 Proof International Release is an Anejo Tequila from Tequila Cascahuin in El Arenal, Jalisco, Mexico. This international-market bottling is aged 14 to 16 months in American oak barrels and bottled at 88 proof, additive-free.
The 88-proof international Anejo runs above the 84-proof Anejo Cascahuin ships in the US, giving European, UK, and other export markets a higher-strength version of the same recipe. Production follows the Rosales family's standard Anejo path at NOM 1123: 100 percent Tequila Valley Blue Weber agave, brick-oven slow cooking, roller mill extraction, open-air fermentation, and copper pot still double distillation, followed by the American oak rest.
On the nose, it shows cooked agave layered with vanilla, gentle oak, and dried fruit. The palate brings caramel, baking spice, agave sweetness, and integrated oak from the 14-plus-month rest, and the finish carries a balanced, lightly tannic close.
The higher 88-proof bottling preserves more body and aromatic intensity than the US 84-proof version while keeping the same aging timeline. It drinks well neat or over a single large cube.
