Angel’s Envy 2023 Cask Strength is a highly allocated, 118.2 Proof (59.1% ABV) limited-edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey marking the 12th annual installment of this premium collector's series. This technical expression features a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley. The maturation protocol utilizes an initial aging period in new charred American white oak followed by a secondary finishing stage in hand-selected Ruby Port wine casks. Notably, the 2023 release is the first Cask Strength edition overseen by Master Distiller Owen Martin, focusing on a selection of barrels that highlight a refined balance between charred oak tannins and vinous fruit esters.
Produced at the Angel’s Envy Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, this 2023 release was limited to a total allocation of 22,656 bottles. The technical presentation features the signature winged glass bottle with a bespoke 2023 label design, housed in a premium, magnetic-closure wooden display case. The spirit is bottled non-chill filtered at its natural cask strength to preserve the volatile aromatic compounds and heavy oils developed during the climate-intensive maturation in the Kentucky rickhouses
