The 2026 Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse Camp Nelson D is a 120.8 Proof (60.4% ABV), non-chill filtered Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey produced by the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. The fifth annual release in the Single Rickhouse Collection, it bottles barrels drawn from a single warehouse — Rickhouse D on the historic Camp Nelson campus — hand-selected by Master Distiller Eddie Russell.
The Single Rickhouse Collection explores whiskey "terroir": how a rickhouse's precise location and environment shape the character of the bourbon maturing inside, even when the recipe and distillation remain constant. The series debuted with Camp Nelson C in 2022, followed by Camp Nelson F in 2023, Camp Nelson B in 2024, and Camp Nelson E in 2025, making each year's edition a sought-after chapter in an ongoing study of maturation.
Built in 1946, Camp Nelson D is one of five historic rickhouses still standing on the property, and it sits at the highest elevation of any warehouse featured in the Collection to date. Its exposed, west-facing position creates strong, consistent airflow and an aging environment the series had not previously explored. It is also the first rickhouse Eddie Russell ever worked in when he joined Wild Turkey 45 years ago. For this edition he drew barrels from floors one, three, four, five, and six — more floors than any prior release — including rarely used first-floor barrels that contribute an earthy depth.
The result, according to the distillery, is the most distinctive Single Rickhouse profile yet: a bourbon that, tasted blind, could pass for a rye. Baked fruit, apple, baking spices, and vanilla on the nose give way to cinnamon, clove, stone fruit, and rye bread on the palate, with a medium-length finish of rye spice, pepper, cinnamon, and spicy oak. Released as Eddie Russell marks 45 years at the distillery, it continues the Russell family whiskey-making legacy begun alongside his father, Jimmy Russell.
