The 2021 Kinsman Eades Anjea Cabernet Sauvignon is a highly acclaimed, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Sleeping Lady Vineyard in Yountville, Napa Valley. Crafted by winemakers Nigel and Shae Kinsman, it is noted for its exceptional structural precision and potential for long-term aging.

Wine Details:

  • Vinous (Antonio Galloni): Rated 98 points, describing it as a "pliant, wonderfully expressive Cabernet" with notes of dark cherry, plum, rose petal, and mocha.
  • Jeb Dunnuck: Rated 97 points, calling it a "sensational wine" with purity and elegance, suggesting it will be a 30+ year wine.
  • The Wine Independent: Rated 97+ points, noting scents of blackcurrant pastilles, blueberries, and violets.
  • Wine Advocate: Rated 98 points (reported by some retailers), highlighting its sleek feel and vivid black fruit.
  • James Suckling: Rated 98 Points Strong and well structured, this full-bodied wine should have a long life ahead of it. Bold aromas of black cherries, blueberries, violets and dark chocolate lead to dense, concentrated black fruit flavors accented by graphite, iron, cocoa and espresso. Made from 100% cabernet sauvignon grapes, clone 22 in block 4. Drinkable now, but best from 2030.
  • Aromas: Exhibits a "showy" nose of blackcurrant, juicy blueberries, violets, and anise, followed by hints of cinnamon toast and kirsch.
  • Palate: Full-bodied and concentrated with dense black fruit flavors accented by graphite, iron, cocoa, and espresso.
  • Structure: Features ultra-fine tannins and a long, elegant finish. According to winemaker Nigel Kinsman, it is more "restrained" and "structural" than many other Napa Cabs.
  • Aging Potential: While drinkable now with decanting, experts recommend cellaring it until at least 2030 for optimal enjoyment.
