This 2020 vintage is a unique marriage of three distinct barrel types: ex-American whiskey barrels, second-fill French oak (previously used for the 2019 Winter Blend), and, most notably, American oak barrels that previously aged an English-style ale.
The beer barrel influence introduces a subtle cider-like acidity and yeasty complexity to the traditional agave core. The resulting profile is bold and textured, featuring rich notes of cooked agave, caramelized tropical fruit, and toasted nuts, balanced by a hint of hops and a sophisticated, spice-forward finish.
