Distilled in the spring of 2004 at DSP-KY-113 using the low-rye Mashbill #1, the spirit underwent 15 years and 3 months of maturation in new charred American white oak.
This vintage is characterized by a moderate evaporation loss, which preserved a higher volume of liquid while allowing for a more delicate integration of grain and wood. The technical profile shifts away from the high proof intensity of previous years, instead emphasizing a high-viscosity body with nuanced notes of dark chocolate, cherry, and vanilla bean, showcasing the refined structural integrity of the 2004 distillation lot.
