Thirteenth Colony 113 Bourbon is a 113 Proof (56.5% ABV) high-octane, small-batch bourbon produced at the Thirteenth Colony Distillery. This innovative, grain-to-glass expression is distilled from a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley, highlighting the agricultural terroir of Georgia. Maturation occurred for 4 to 6 years in new, charred American oak barrels within the South Georgia climate, where high humidity and heat accelerated the wood interaction.
The spirit underwent a unique secondary maturation using toasted maple wood spirals inserted directly into the barrels to maximize surface area contact. Technical specs highlight a dense, high-viscosity spirit with a concentrated profile of warm maple syrup and toasted pecan, balanced by a lingering finish of vanilla bean, baking spice, and charred oak. This release represents the distillery's flagship high-proof offering.
