Stagg Jr Batch 6 is a 132.5 Proof (66.25% ABV) small batch bourbon produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Released in the spring of 2016, this spirit was matured for approximately eight to nine years within the historic, climate-cycled warehouses of Frankfort, Kentucky. Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley utilized Buffalo Trace’s Mash Bill #1, the distillery's signature low-rye recipe, matured exclusively in new charred American oak.
The technical profile is defined by its uncut and non-chill filtered strength, which preserves the dense concentration of barrel-derived vanillins and tannins. The structural framework is exceptionally robust and viscous, featuring a nose of heavy caramel and dark cherries, with a palate dominated by intense notes of bittersweet chocolate, baking spices, and a massive, heat-driven finish of tobacco and charred oak.
