Stagg Barrel Proof Batch 25D is a 129.2 Proof (64.6% ABV) small batch bourbon produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. As the final release of the 2025 calendar year, this uncut and unfiltered expression is pulled from barrels aged for approximately 8 to 9 years in the distillery’s historic brick warehouses. It utilizes the iconic Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #1, which is a low rye recipe that emphasizes dense grain sweetness and dark fruit.
Maturation in #4 char American white oak has produced a robust profile featuring layers of molasses, dark chocolate, and the trademark Stagg cherry notes. The high proof allows the rich oils and esters to remain concentrated, resulting in a thick, chewy mouthfeel and a long, warming finish defined by seasoned oak and baking spices.
