Sazerac Full Proof is a 125 Proof (62.5% ABV) straight rye whiskey produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. This 2024 release is a high-proof evolution of the classic "Baby Saz," utilizing a low-corn Kentucky-style rye mash bill. The liquid is matured in #4 char American white oak barrels within the storied warehouses of Frankfort, Kentucky, where it is subjected to intense seasonal temperature swings.
Unlike the standard 90-proof offering, this expression is bottled at the original barrel entry proof of 125 and is non-chill filtered. The result is a concentrated profile featuring bold notes of clove, anise, and dark chocolate, balanced by a dense undercurrent of toasted oak and peppercorn
