This 2024 expression utilizes a masterful four-grain mash bill of 74% corn, 20% rye, 5% malted barley, and 1% wheat, representing a complex blend of aged stocks from two different states. Distilled at the MGP Distillery in Indiana and an undisclosed facility in Kentucky, the liquid matured for nine years in new charred American oak barrels before being married in small batches.
This evolutionary process yields a rich and complex profile of vanilla custard, bright cherry, and toasted caramel, balanced by a deep undercurrent of baking spices and marshmallow with a long, fruit-forward finish. Breaking Bourbon notes that the extra age immediately impacts the profile, moving away from grain-forward notes toward a more oak-heavy, sophisticated character.
