Bardstown Collaborative Series Founders KBS Stout Finish is a Bourbon from an undisclosed Tennessee distillery, blended and bottled at Bardstown Bourbon Company in Bardstown, Kentucky. Part of the distillery's acclaimed Collaborative Series, in which the blending team partners with renowned winemakers, brewers and brandy houses to finish its whiskey in their used casks. Bottled at 110 proof.
A 10-year straight bourbon finished for 15 months in barrels that held Founders Brewing's KBS, a barrel-aged imperial stout brewed with coffee and chocolate. The blending team leaned into the stout's roasty, dessert character to create one of the richest finishes in the series. Each Collaborative release is a limited, single-finish bottling, and no two editions share the same partner cask.
On the nose, coffee, dark chocolate, and toasted oak. The palate brings espresso, cocoa, and caramel. The finish carries roasted malt and lingering chocolate.
Released in small numbers, it is the sort of bottle that disappears fast from allocation. It earns a place among the standout entries in the Bardstown Collaborative Series and rewards the dedicated collector. Bottled at 110 proof, it shows the bold, full-strength character collectors prize. Demand for the label consistently outpaces its limited supply.
