This 2025 release complies with the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act, requiring the spirit to be the product of one distillation season and matured in a federally bonded warehouse for a minimum of four years. This specific expression features a unique mash bill of 26% Texas blue corn, 25% white corn, 44% rye, and 5% malted barley.
The use of blue corn provides a denser and earthier sweetness than traditional yellow corn varieties. Maturation for six years in the volatile Texas climate has concentrated the sugars within the heavy char American oak, resulting in a robust profile of roasted pecans, dark chocolate, and sweet tobacco.
