Released in late 2005, this expression marks the inaugural debut of the Master's Collection series, featuring an innovative four-grain mash bill incorporating corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. The liquid was crafted entirely using traditional copper pot distillation at the historic Versailles facility rather than standard column stills.
The spirit underwent a multi-year maturation period inside charred new American white oak barrels housed in stone masonry warehouses. This specific architectural and climate choice yielded a highly complex structural profile exhibiting technical notes of dried orange peel, rich cocoa, toasted pecan, and deeply integrated wood tannins without any secondary finishing.
