Fortaleza Reposado Tequila is an 80 Proof (40% ABV) additive-free spirit produced at Destilería La Fortaleza (NOM 1493) in the Tequila Valley. Distilled from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave, this expression is matured for approximately 6 to 9 months in used American oak barrels that have been re-chipped and re-charred to introduce deep, complex textures. Using 19th-century artisanal methods, the agave is slow-cooked in stone ovens for 36 hours, tahona-crushed, and naturally fermented in open-air wooden vats.
Double-distilled in small copper pot stills, the profile perfectly balances the vibrancy of roasted agave with sophisticated layers of vanilla, dried fruit, and soft barrel spice. Housed in a signature hand-blown glass bottle with a hand-painted agave piña stopper, this 750ml bottling represents the uncompromising technical transparency of the Sauza family heritage.
