Macallan Distil Your World London Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky presents the first global release in The Macallan's landmark Distil Your World series in a 700ml bottle. Unveiled in 2020 and crafted at The Macallan Distillery in Craigellachie, Speyside, this strictly limited single malt set out to do something no whisky had attempted before: distil the essence of an entire city. Bottling strength for this edition is stated on the label itself, and the whisky carries no age statement, letting character rather than a number lead the story.

That city is London, and the journey behind the liquid is as compelling as the dram. The Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner travelled the capital alongside Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca of El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, the three-Michelin-star restaurant twice named best in the world. Their sensory research among London's cooks, craftspeople and creators guided a painstaking search through thousands of maturing casks from The Macallan's Easter Elchies estate inventory, seeking flavours that could speak for a metropolis defined by heritage, multiculturalism and reinvention.

The result is a character-led whisky with nuances rarely found in The Macallan's single malts: orange caramel, curry spice and sweet Earl Grey tea, layered over the rich, harmonious signature of the distillery's sherry-seasoned oak tradition. The natural colour, named Harvest Sun, glows amber in the glass. It is a profile built to evoke the city itself—spice markets and tea rooms, polished wood and winter light—delivered with the depth collectors expect from Speyside's most celebrated name.

Presentation completes the tribute. The outer pack carries a true-scale map of London built around The Macallan's iconic triangle, while inside, the bottle sits within a three-dimensional curved city map rendered in the red of London's historic brick, with a photographic book documenting the journey tucked into an interior drawer.
