Distilled during the uniquely cool spring of 2015, this expression adheres to the 1897 Bottled in Bond Act, requiring maturation in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years—in this case, reaching approximately 10 years of age.
It utilizes the distillery's standard rye mash bill of 65% rye, 20% malted barley, and 15% corn. The extended maturation in heat-cycled warehouses delivers a sophisticated profile of honeysuckle, thick molasses, and charred oak, with a spicy finish of cracked black pepper and cooked pear
