WhistlePig The Boss Hog X 'The 10 Commandments' is a 105.3–107 Proof (52.65–53.5% ABV) rare and highly sought-after straight rye whiskey produced at the WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham, VT. This limited 2023 tenth-anniversary edition features 100% straight rye aged for 13 years in new American oak before undergoing a complex double-finish maturation. The spirit is first finished in barrels that previously held WhistlePig’s own experimental mead, followed by a final resting period in aromatic Frankincense and Myrrh resin-infused casks.
This process utilizes unique wood interaction to bind traditional rye spice with ancient, resinous aromatics. The profile is characterized by a dense delivery of roasted honey, floral incense, and dark berry preserves that transitions into a long finish of toasted cedar and sweet, earthy resin.
