Shipments of the 2018 release began shortly before the Fourth of July — the first Michter's 10 Year Rye in over a year, after roughly a year and a half without a single-barrel rye as supply shortages continued. Heilmann had made history in 2016 as the first woman to serve as Master Distiller at a Kentucky Distillers' Association member distillery since Prohibition.
