The 2022 Michter's Celebration Sour Mash Whiskey is the fourth release of Michter's rarest and most prestigious expression, bottled at 112.8 proof (56.4% ABV) and limited to just 328 bottles worldwide. It is a blend of Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Kentucky Straight Rye drawn from seven extraordinary barrels — three bourbon and four rye, with the youngest whiskey over 12 years old and the oldest over 30 — selected by Master Distiller Dan McKee in consultation with Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. Each bottle is presented in a special gift box with a drawer containing a letter signed by McKee.
Released only about once every three years, Celebration is the rarest and most prestigious whiskey Michter's makes — a barrel-strength blend of the distillery's oldest and most extraordinary Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Kentucky Straight Rye barrels. When the inaugural edition arrived in 2013, it marked the first time an American company had offered a rare blend intended to rival the finest spirits made anywhere in the world, helping to launch the ultra-luxury tier of American whiskey.
