Edition 150 (2024) marks the sesquicentennial running with Kentucky muralist Wylie Caudill's 'Adorned in Roses,' a thoroughbred wreathed in the red blooms of the winner's garland — the first year Woodford Reserve and Churchill Downs shared one official artist. Edition 151 (2025) completes the trio with 'Carrera Dinamica' by Cuban-born, Louisville-based painter Humberto Lahera, whose fluid brushwork captures the surge of the field down the stretch.
Inside every bottle is the same batch of triple pot still bourbon that made Woodford Reserve the Derby's presenting sponsor pour: a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley, matured in new charred oak. Expect layered aromas of dried fruit and toasted oak leading into vanilla, cocoa, orange zest and baking spice, with a long, creamy, gently spiced finish that suits a julep as readily as a neat pour.
