This 6-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV) in the program's 375ml format, began as a mash left to ferment well beyond the distillery's standard schedule before it ever reached the still.
Fermentation is where a whiskey's fruit and depth are born — yeast working past the point of simple sugar conversion builds layered esters and richer congeners that survive distillation and barrel aging. By stretching that window, the Beam team front-loaded the spirit with complexity, then let six years in new charred American oak shape it into a finished bourbon.
