Jack Daniel's 47th Presidential Inauguration Selection Tennessee Whiskey is a commemorative bottling produced to mark the 47th presidential inauguration in January 2025. Inauguration bottlings occupy a small, dedicated niche within American whiskey collecting — dated artifacts of a national ceremony, produced once and never repeated — and this release joins a lineage of Lynchburg commemoratives that record moments the same way the distillery's Gold Medal and anniversary bottlings record its own milestones.
The whiskey is the distillery's signature charcoal-mellowed sour mash, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) beneath a dedicated inauguration label that identifies the ceremony and date. It is the packaging and the occasion, rather than an altered recipe, that define the release — standard practice for event bottlings of this kind, where the label itself is the artifact.
In the glass it delivers the familiar Lynchburg profile: sweet caramel, vanilla, and light banana over toasted oak, with the soft charcoal roundness that defines the style and a smooth, easy finish. It pours exactly as approachably as the flagship, whether neat, over ice, or in a highball.
With commemoratives of this type, condition is everything: the value lives in the intact label, closure, and packaging. Prior inauguration-dated bottlings from major American distilleries have become genuinely difficult to source once their moment passed, and collectors of political and historical ephemera pursue them alongside whiskey enthusiasts.
