The Family Estate single barrel program is the heart of the modern Willett cult. Established in 1936 by Thompson Willett and revived from 1984 by Even Kulsveen as Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, the house earned its reputation one barrel at a time — hand-selected casks judged singular enough to carry the family's name, bottled undiluted with a purple neck seal marking bourbon. In the distillery's own words, the single barrels are coveted for their quality and variety, and no two are alike.
