The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary Release Decade VI is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 87.4 proof (43.7% ABV) by The Macallan Distillery in Speyside, Scotland, in a 700ml bottle. It closes the six-bottle series released in 2022 for the franchise's 60th anniversary, representing the most recent decade of Bond films while sharing the collection's signature 43.7% strength, a direct nod to 007.
Decade VI is the chapter with the deepest Macallan connection. Skyfall (2012) returned Daniel Craig's Bond to his Scottish childhood home, and the film famously put The Macallan itself on screen. The pack design features an illustration of Skyfall Lodge together with a Day of the Dead poster from Spectre (2015), recalling the Mexico City opening sequence the production staged with more than 1,500 extras in Zocalo Square. It is the decade in which Bond's world and The Macallan's visibly intertwined, and No Time to Die (2021) closed Daniel Craig's arc barely a year before this release, making Decade VI a tribute completed almost in real time.
The whisky, created by Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, was conceived as Bond in liquid form: vulnerable humanity beneath trademark resolve. It carries no age statement, presents a natural Suisse (Swiss) gold colour, and, as The Macallan confirms, contains the same liquid found in all six bottles of the collection; the artwork alone tells each decade's story. Cask details are not officially disclosed, so the label and pack remain the reference.
Finished in a colour wash keyed to the 2010s, Decade VI completes the timeline begun with Dr. No and gives the series its emotional close. Collectors regard it as the essential capstone, the bottle that ties the whisky brand's on-screen history to its anniversary tribute, and demand reflects that distinction. As the final chapter of a 2022 limited release, it anchors any complete set of the six Decades, closing the circle the way the films themselves did: in Scotland.
