American Barrels Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

American Barrels Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is a Kentucky bourbon built around one of the most recognizable bottle designs in American whiskey: a shotgun-shell-shaped vessel wrapped in a sculpted rattlesnake. Produced under the American Barrels brand and presented in 750ml, it is an unabashedly patriotic bourbon in which the packaging is as much the point as the pour. Published specifications for this bottling are limited and releases have appeared at more than one strength, so ABV varies; see bottle label.

The custom bottle rises from a brass-toned shotgun-shell base into clear glass embossed with a coiled rattlesnake, imagery that echoes Revolutionary-era American iconography. It is a design that photographs well on a bar shelf and starts conversations before the cork is pulled, and it has carried the brand's identity far more visibly than any technical whiskey claim. The label designates the whiskey as Kentucky bourbon, placing its production squarely in the state that defines the category.

Independent coverage of the liquid itself is sparse but does exist: The Whiskey Wash reviewed a 90 proof bottling in 2016, noting a sweet, nutty, lightly spicy nose and a palate carrying melon, toffee, and a hint of bubble gum. Because the company publishes little about mash bill, age, or distilling source, and because bottlings at different proofs have circulated, the bottle label should be treated as the authoritative record for proof, age, and origin details on any given release.

For collectors, American Barrels belongs to the tradition of statement-bottle Americana — whiskeys acquired as much for display, gifting, and conversation as for the pour itself. The shotgun-shell silhouette makes it a distinctive shelf piece among conventional bourbon bottles, and its niche production run gives it curiosity value within patriotic-themed spirits collections. Buyers who care about precise specifications should read the label on their specific bottle before pouring.
