William Heavenhill 9th Edition is a 109 Proof (54.5% ABV) small batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon produced at the Heaven Hill Distillery (DSP-KY-1). This 2021 release is a technical marriage of 34 barrels distilled in 2005 and matured on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Rickhouse H and Rickhouse I. Utilizing the traditional 78% corn, 12% malted barley, and 10% rye mash bill, the mid-floor maturation in the Bardstown climate allowed for a balanced evaporation rate over 15 years.
The resulting profile is structurally dense, offering technical notes of toasted sourdough, dark honey, and seasoned oak tannins, balanced by a persistent baking spice finish. This limited-edition release is a benchmark for high-intent collectors focused on the specific wood-to-spirit interaction achieved in Heaven Hill’s traditional timber-frame rickhouses.
