Stagg Jr. Batch 13 is a 128.4 Proof (64.2% ABV) small batch bourbon produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Released in the fall of 2019, this spirit was matured for approximately eight to nine years within the historic Frankfort rickhouses. Utilizing Buffalo Trace’s Mash Bill #1, this low-rye recipe was aged exclusively in new charred American oak barrels.
The technical profile is defined by its uncut and unfiltered nature, preserving the heavy viscosity and essential oils characteristic of the Stagg lineage. Its structural framework is notably balanced for the series, featuring a nose of caramel and toasted vanilla, while the palate is dominated by dark berries, stone fruit, and light baking spices that lead into a long, warming finish of seasoned oak and dark chocolate.
