This inaugural 2024 release is sourced from barrels matured for approximately 8 to 9 years within the distillery’s historic Kentucky rickhouses. It utilizes the low rye Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #1 recipe which emphasizes a dense grain sweetness and rich fruit character.
Matured in heavy char American white oak, this expression is bottled uncut and non-chill filtered to preserve the original barrel oils and esters. The profile is characterized by bold layers of dark chocolate, brown sugar, and the signature Stagg cherry that transition into a long finish of toasted oak and warming cinnamon.
