The Glenfiddich 30 Year Old 86 Proof (43% ABV) is a highly prestigious Speyside single malt produced at the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. This expression is a technical marriage of whiskies matured for a minimum of three decades in a specific combination of Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and American bourbon oak barrels. Maturation occurs in the distillery's traditional dunnage warehouses, where the cool, damp climate promotes a slow extraction of wood tannins and concentrated fruit esters.
The resulting chemical profile is defined by vibrant notes of dried fig, dark chocolate, and roasted almond, which are balanced by a deep, seductively woody backbone. Each batch is personally nosed and selected by the Malt Master at peak maturationâa process historically referred to as "Suspended Time"âensuring a silky, non-chill filtered presentation with a long, honeyed finish
