Eagle Rare 12 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a 95 Proof (47.5% ABV) age-stated expression introduced in 2025 as a permanent addition to the Buffalo Trace portfolio. Distilled from the distillery’s low-rye Mash Bill #1, this bourbon is aged for a minimum of 12 years in new charred American white oak barrels. Unlike the 10-year flagship, this expression is a curated small-batch blend designed to deliver a deeper and more consistent maturity.
The additional two years of maturation on the lower floors of the rickhouses amplify the wood influence, resulting in a complex profile of toasted oak, dark cherry, and almond, transitioning into resonant tones of antique leather and cocoa. This 750ml bottling bridges the gap between the core 10-year release and the ultra-aged Antique Collection.
