The Wheated Warehouse Floors Experiment repeated Buffalo Trace's earlier rye-recipe floor study, this time with a wheated bourbon mash bill split across floors one, five, and nine of Warehouse K to see whether wheated distillate responds differently to aging position than rye-recipe bourbon.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the nose, it shows a darker, more intense personality with barrel char, roasted nuts, polished oak, and tobacco. The palate brings dried spice atop toffee, maple syrup, and caramel, and the finish carries assertive oak balanced by sweet undertones.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFloor #9 was the boldest of the three wheated floor experiments, with the wider temperature swings of the top floor producing a darker, more wood-driven expression.
