2025 Clase Azul Dia de los Muertos - Recuerdos is the fifth and final installment of the "Nuestros Recuerdos" series from Clase Azul Tequila - the closing chapter of the brand's five-year program (2021-2025) dedicated to the most distinctive facets of Dia de Muertos: flavors (Sabores), colors (Colores), aromas (Aromas), music (Musica), and now memory (Recuerdos). The 2025 release is an Anejo blend of tequilas aged 12 to 38 months in first-use American whiskey casks, with a portion of the agave hand-cooked in a traditional pit oven before fermentation. Bottled at 80 proof / 40% ABV. Limited to 10,000 hand-numbered ceramic decanters worldwide.

Clase Azul Tequila is produced at Productos Finos de Agave (NOM 1416) in Jesus Maria, Los Altos de Jalisco - the Highland tequila region. Founded by Arturo Lomeli in 1997, Clase Azul is one of the most recognizable artisan tequila brands in the world, known as much for what's inside the bottle as for the bottle itself: each iconic hand-painted ceramic Clase Azul decanter is shaped, fired, and painted by hand by more than 100 artisans in the village of Santa Maria Canchesda, Mexico, and finished with platinum, silver, and 24-karat gold detail on the higher-end expressions.

The Clase Azul Dia de los Muertos series is the brand's annual hand-painted ceramic tribute to the Mexican Day of the Dead - Mexico's most iconic celebration of life, memory, and the cycle that connects the living and the departed. Each annual release carries a distinct decanter design, a specific tequila profile, and a small production run aimed squarely at collectors of Clase Azul limited editions.

The Recuerdos theme honors memory itself - the act of remembrance at the heart of Dia de Muertos and of the entire five-year series. The ivory ceramic decanter carries artwork by Mexican artist Erika Rivera depicting the ofrenda - the traditional altar - surrounded by cempasuchil blossoms, pan de muerto, and papel picado. Each decanter is finished with a handcrafted 24-karat gold-plated locket ornament containing milagritos and an obsidian cameo, both materials carrying centuries of meaning in Mexican folk practice as symbols of eternal remembrance.

On the nose, it shows rich cooked agave layered with smoked wood from the pit-cooked component, orange marmalade, and caramel. The palate brings rich agave, clove, cinnamon, and a touch of toasted oak, and the finish carries a long close with lingering citrus and toasted-wood warmth.
