After a standard 5 to 7-year primary aging cycle in charred new oak, the bourbon is moved to a second virgin barrel for a full 24 months. This extended secondary timeline doubles the wood contact of the standard Double Oaked, pulling dark baking chocolate and dry oak tannins into the liquid.
