Still Austin Monster Mash 2025 is a 112 Proof (56% ABV) high-impact, cask-strength five-grain bourbon produced at the Still Austin Whiskey Co. distillery. This aggressive, small-batch Distillery Reserve release is distilled from a "supernatural" mash bill consisting of 28% malted white corn, 23% unmalted white corn, 28% malted wheat, 13% malted rye, and 8% malted barley. Maturation occurred for at least 4 years in new, charred American oak barrels within the distillery's Austin-based rickhouses.
The punishing Texas heat drove rapid wood interaction, concentrating the diverse grain sugars into a high-viscosity, oil-forward spirit. Technical specs highlight a dense profile of maple hard candy and golden raisins, balanced by the sharp herbal bite of malted rye and the soft, bready texture of malted wheat. This 2025 edition, an homage to an iconic horror classic, represents the most complex grain-to-glass assembly in the distillery's current inventory.
