Old Forester 110 Proof Straight Rye Whiskey is produced by the Brown-Forman Shively Distillery (DSP-KY-354). This inaugural rye release in the 117 Series utilizes the distillery’s standard rye mash bill of 65% rye, 20% malted barley, and 15% corn. The "High Angels' Share" designation refers to the selection of 65 low-yield barrels, distilled between 2014 and 2020, that underwent significant evaporative loss within heat-cycled maturation warehouses.
This concentrated liquid was matured in new charred oak containers, resulting in a dense profile characterized by sandalwood, burnt sugar, and intense herbal peppercorn notes without the use of chill filtration
