Bardstown Bourbon Company Carter Cellars is a Blend of American Straight Whiskies from Bardstown Bourbon Company in Bardstown, Kentucky. Part of the distillery's acclaimed Collaborative Series, in which the blending team partners with renowned winemakers, brewers and brandy houses to finish its award-winning whiskey in their used casks. Bottled at 108.3 proof.
This blend of American straight whiskies was aged for 14 months in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from Carter Cellars, a boutique Napa Valley winery. The blending team built the release around the wine casks' bold dark fruit and firm tannic backbone. Each Collaborative release is a limited, single-finish bottling, and no two editions share the same partner cask.
On the nose, blackcurrant, plum, and oak. The palate brings dark berry, cocoa, and baking spice. The finish carries dry tannin and lingering wine sweetness.
Limited and widely sought, it has become a genuine chase bottle for enthusiasts. It has earned a lasting reputation within the Bardstown Collaborative Series and a devoted collector following.
