Sazerac 18 Year Old 2025 90 Proof is a highly mature technical allocation distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery (DSP-KY-113) and released as part of the 25th-anniversary Antique Collection. Distilled in the spring of 2006 and 2007, this spirit matured for 18 years and 5 months on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Warehouses O, K, and L. This vintage represents an extreme technical case of "angel's share" loss, with approximately 77% of the original liquid lost to evaporation, resulting in a spirit of intense concentration.
Despite its long rest in new charred American oak, the spirit maintains a refined, low-rye structural framework. The technical profile is defined by an elegant integration of herbal mint and citrus zest, avoiding over-oaking through precise warehouse placement. Bottled at 90 proof, this 2025 edition delivers a silky mouthfeel with complex notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, and allspice.
